I have been a massage therapist for years and practised a variety of natural therapies but it was not until I met Serge Benhayon that I really changed the way I worked, which then changed the way Byron Bay Mobile Massage operates.
Attending a Universal Medicine presentations was a massive wake up call when Serge spoke about our energetic quality and presence within ourselves and with others.
That moment gave me a chance to get honest about the fact that at times when massaging, I would be thinking about what I would be cooking for dinner that night, what time I had to pick up my daughter and about a variety of other things and I was miles away from what I was actually doing in that moment. What I started to notice is that my client was affected by my lack of presence. This workshop also asked me to explore the way I lived outside the clinic and if this might also have an effect on my client. For example, if I had been drinking alcohol the night before, had a fight with someone or been sad and emotional then what energy would also be transferred and dumped onto my client as I was massaging them?
From all the courses that I had attended over the years, I had to stop and wonder why had I not been taught this simple concept of energetic responsibility or had never thought of this myself. I never intentially wanted to harm or dump anything on anyone but I had to stop and really understand the importance of energetic quality and responsibility.
The way I work has changed since then immensely, I am now more present with each client and find I am less drained and my client appreciates this connection. I continue to be inspired by the annual Universal Medicine Retreats, the presentations and workshops offered by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine and attend regularly so as to develop myself and what I have to offer.
I have since studied
- Sacred Esoteric Healing,
- Esoteric Massage,
- Esoteric Connective Tissue Therapy and
- Esoteric Chakra Puncture.
I love Chakra Puncture so much that I am now doing a Diploma course with Evolve College and absolutely loving it. At first I wondered if I would be able to fit in a diploma course around my busy schedule but I am so glad I decided to do it as it is just fantastic.
Each of these courses has been absolutely amazing and life changing. One of the most fundamental learning through all of them, is that my ability to work with others is only limited by my willingness to work on my own issues and learn how to love and care for myself more deeply. The healing that took place for myself was enough to blow me away but I have also witnessed the effects on friends, family and on clients. The proof has been right before my eyes over and over again such as seeing clients walk away feeling and looking younger, not having the intense pain or the emotional trauma’s they were experiencing when they first came to see me.
Over time, Byron Bay Mobile Massage has grown and I the more I work with other massage therapists, the Esoteric Modalities are essential because it means all of the therapists are taking responsibility with the way they live. They are alcohol free, drug free, smoke free and live a very healthy lifestyle. None of us are perfect, but we are all open to being honest and to working on whatever issues that we have in life so that we don’t share them with our clients and we have been trained to work in a way that is all about energetic quality, knowing that everything that we do has an effect on everyone we come into contact with.
We have had some great testimonials over the years and I know it was not just the technique but because of how we are with ourselves and our clients when we massage. People often share how special the massage has been for them and how they have never experienced anything quite like it, and for this, I have to thank Serge Benhayon as he has taught me so much and inspired me in so many ways. Serge Benhayon is a philosopher, author and an ordinary man that I am very grateful to have in my life.
